Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Place the steak in a resealable bag or dish, pour the marinade over it, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight for best results).
  2. 2

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat the grill to high heat. If using charcoal, wait until the coals are ashy and gray.
  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let the excess drip off. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side until it reaches the desired doneness. Get a good char on both sides.
  4. 4

    Rest and Slice

Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.
  5. 5

    Serve

Serve with warm tortillas, salsa, guacamole, and lime wedges. Carne Asada is perfect for tacos, burritos, or as a standalone dish.
